Mother's Day is just around the corner. This Sunday, May 11, treat the special women in your
life to brunch at Green Gables Restaurant followed by a performance of
Charlotte’s Web at the Mountain Playhouse. Or, see the performance first
and enjoy a leisurely dinner with the entire family afterwards.
Tickets for the 3 pm matinee performance are just $10/person and on Mother's
Day (like every Sunday) up to two children under 12 can eat Sunday Brunch
FREE with the purchase of one adult entrée. Both
children and
adult menus
are available. Brunch is served 11 am - 4 pm every Sunday.
This Mother's Day, Green Gables is extending the hours of its "Kids Eat Free" special to
include dinner as well.
Charlotte's Web is the loving story of the friendship between a
pig named Wilbur and a little gray spider named Charlotte. Wilbur has a
problem: how to avoid winding up in the slaughter house. Enter Charlotte,
a fine writer and a true friend assures Wilbur she will save him. This
treasured tale, featuring mad-cap and endearing farm animals, explores
bravery, selfless love, and the true meaning of friendship.
Charlotte's
Web is a play by Joseph Robinnette based on the Newbery Medal winning
book by E.B. White who also wrote
Stuart Little and
Trumpet of
the Swan.
